Nevada gaming revenue declines in January
Revenue decreased 6.5 per cent year-over-year and 7 per cent from December 2025.
US.- The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reported that the state’s casinos generated $1.34bn in revenue in January. That’s a decrease of 6.5 per cent year-over-year and 7 per cent from December 2025.
Clark County, which includes the Strip, downtown Las Vegas Strip, North Las Vegas, the Boulder Strip, and surrounding areas, generated $1.6bn in revenue, down 8.4 per cent compared to January 2025. The Las Vegas Strip contributed $747.7m, down 11 per cent year-over-year.
Washoe County, which includes casinos in Reno, Sparks, and North Lake Tahoe, generated $93.9m, up 4.2 per cent. South Lake Tahoe contributed $24.6m, up 10.3 per cent, Elko County $36.9m, up 12.9 per cent, and the Carson Valley Area $11.5m, up 3.2 per cent.
The State collected $101m in percentage fees, a 7.08 per cent decrease compared to the prior year’s January. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2025, through January 31, 2026), gaming win has increased 0.69 per cent.
The NGCB’s figures show that $133.8m was wagered at this year’s Super Bowl across the state’s 186 sportsbooks, the lowest handle in a decade. Unaudited figures show a sportsbook win of $9.9m, resulting in a hold of 7.4 per cent.
