Missouri Gaming Commission issues temporary sports betting licences
MGC has granted seven additional temporary licences for sportsbooks to launch in December.
US.- The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) has issued seven additional temporary licences. BetMGM, bet365, Caesars, ESPN BET, FanDuel, Fanatics, and Underdog secured licences, joining DraftKings and Circa. Sportsbooks will begin accepting user signups and deposits on November 17 and launch on December 1.
FanDuel signed a partnership with Major League Soccer’s St. Louis City Soccer Club after losing out on an untethered licence. Only Circa and DraftKings have untethered licences allowing them to offer mobile sports betting without partnering with a land-based casino or professional sports team.
Missouri voters approved sports betting through Amendment 2 in November 2024, passing the measure by a margin of just 50.1 per cent. Revenue generated from sports wagering will be taxed at a rate of 10 per cent with the potential allowance of deductions for promotional offers and federal taxes.
