Mississippi casino revenue rises in October
Adjusted gross gaming revenue increased by 6.1 per cent from September.
US.- The Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) has reported that casinos in the state generated $198.7m in adjusted gross gaming revenue in October. That’s an increase of 6.1 per cent from September.
The Coastal region accounted for more than 50 per cent of total adjusted gross gaming revenue at $132m in revenue. Casino revenue in the Central region totalled $25.8m, and casinos in Northern region reported $40.8m. For the year-to date, adjusted gross gaming revenue was $2bn.
Sports wagers in October totalled $39.3m, down 7.45 per cent year-over-year but up slightly from September’s $39.1m. The Coastal region reported a $26.6m handle, representing more than half of all bets in the state. The Central region generated $8.3m and the Northern region $4.4m.
