Massachusetts gaming revenue increases in May
Plainridge Park Casino, MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor reported $105.36m in gross gaming revenue.
US.- The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has reported that Plainridge Park Casino (PPC), MGM Springfield (MGM) and Encore Boston Harbor (EBH) generated $105.36m in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in May. That’s up 3.1 per cent from April ($102.1m).
Encore Boston Harbor reported $63.3m, with $25.1m from table games and $38.1m from slots. MGM Springfield generated $25.4m ($4.7m from table games and $20.7m from slots) and Plainridge Park Casino $16.1m from slots.
Some $80.73m in taxable sports wagering revenue (TSWR) was generated across the seven mobile/online sports wagering licensees and three in-person licensees. The sports betting handle in May was $655.7m.
To date, the Commonwealth has collected approximately $2.104bn in taxes and assessments from casino operations since the respective opening of each gaming facility and $294.08m from sports wagering operations since the market opened in person on January 31, 2023, and online on March 10, 2023.
