Florida slot revenue increases in May
Non-tribal casinos took $62.6m in net slot revenue, up 5 per cent year-over-year.
US.- Florida’s non-tribal casinos reported $62.6m in net slot revenue in May, up 5 per cent year-over-year and 5.8 per cent from April. That makes May the second highest month in terms of revenue in the fiscal year after March ($66.7m).
Of the eight non-tribal casinos, Magic City Casino led the market with $13.7m in slot revenue, up 30 per cent year-over-year. It was followed by Harrah’s Pompano Beach Casino with $11.1m, down 0.1 per cent. Hialeah Park Casino generated $8.6m, Calder Race Court $8.1m and Casino Miami $8.1m.
Year to date, net slot revenue stands at $635.3m.
The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) recently took enforcement action against illegal gambling operations at 10 locations in South and Central Florida. Agents seized nearly 100 illegal slot machines and more than $60,000. Seven Notices to Appear have been issued.
