Maryland casino revenue decreases year-over-year in July

Revenue decreased by 2.5 per cent year-over-year.

US.- The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission has released its gaming report for July. The state’s six casinos combined to generate $165.6m in revenue from slot machines and table games. That’s down 2.5 per cent year-over-year but up 3.1 per cent from June 2025.

MGM National Harbor led the market with $68.7m in revenue, down 4.7 per cent year-over-year. It was followed by Live! Casino & Hotel with $59.7m, down 4.6 per cent, and Horseshoe Casino with $14.4m, up 8.3 per cent.

Ocean Downs Casino took $10.2m in revenue, up 6.4 per cent, Hollywood Casino $7.6m, up 4.5 per cent and Rocky Gap Casino $5m, up 1.1 per cent.

Casino gaming contributions to the state totalled $71.8m, down 0.4 per cent from the same period in 2024. Contributions included $51.7m to the Education Trust Fund, a decrease of 0.5 per cent year-over-year.

For fiscal year 2025, from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, the Maryland Lottery, casinos, sports wagering, and daily fantasy sports generated a combined $1.59bn for state programmes and services. According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, casino gaming contributions totalled $831.3m, lottery $667.2m, and sports wagering and daily fantasy sports $89.9m.
