Maryland casino revenue decreases in June
Revenue was down 1.4 per cent year-over-year and 9 per cent from May.
US.- Maryland’s six casinos generated $160.6m in revenue from slot machines and table games in June. That’s a drop of 1.4 per cent year-over-year and 9 per cent from May.
The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission reported that MGM National Harbor led the market with $67.1m in revenue, down 1.4 per cent year-over-year. It was followed by Live! Casino & Hotel, which reported $58.9m, down 2.4 per cent, and Horseshoe Casino with $14.2m, up 0.8 per cent.
Ocean Downs Casino generated $8.4m, up 4.3 per cent, Hollywood Casino $7.2m, down 3.7 per cent, and Rocky Gap Casino $4.5m, up 0.04 per cent. Casino gaming contributions to the state totalled $68.5m, down 1.9 per cent. Contributions to the Education Trust Fund were $49.4m, also down 1.9 per cent year-on-year.
