Maryland casino revenue decreases year-over-year in August
Revenue decreased by 2.1 per cent.
US.- Maryland’s six casinos generated a combined $170.2m in revenue from slot machines and table games in August, according to the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission. That’s down 2.1 per cent year-over-year and up 2.7 from July 2025.
MGM National Harbor led the market with $70.1m in revenue, down 6.5 per cent. Live! Casino & Hotel posted $63.1m, up 2.1 per cent, Horseshoe Casino $15m, an increase of 4.4 per cent, and Ocean Downs Casino $10.2m, up 3.7 per cent.
Hollywood Casino reported $6.7m in revenue, down 13 per cent, and Rocky Gap Casino $4.9m, a decrease of 1.1 per cent. Casino gaming contributions to the state were $72.7m. down 1.2 per cent year-over-year. That included $52.4m to the Education Trust Fund, down 1.3 per cent.
For fiscal year 2025, from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, the Maryland Lottery, casinos, sports wagering, and daily fantasy sports generated a combined $1.59bn for state programmes and services.
