Maryland casino revenue decreases in February

Revenue decreased 4.3 per cent year-on-year.

US.- The Maryland Lottery and Gaming has reported that the six casinos in the state generated a combined $148.5m in revenue from slots machines and table games in February. That’s a decrease of 4.3 per cent year-on-year.

According to the report, MGM National Harbor led the market with $64.8m in revenue, down 3.1 per cent year-on-year. It was followed by Live! Casino & Hotel with $52m in revenue, down 8.8 per cent.

Horseshoe Casino reported $14.2m in revenue, up 1.1 per cent; Hollywood Casino $6.9m, down 4 per cent; Ocean Downs Casino $6.3m, up 3.3 per cent; and Rocky Gap Casino $4.2m, an increase of 8.9 per cent.

Casino gaming contributions to the state totalled $63.6m, a decrease of 2.4 per cent year-on-year. The contributions included $45.9m to the Education Trust Fund, down 2.5 per cent.

Through the first eight months of fiscal year 2026, from July 2025 through February 2026, casino gaming revenue was $1.3m, down 2.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2025. Contributions to the state were $543.2m, down 1.4 per cent year-on-year.

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming reported that the sports betting handle was $615.8m in January. That’s a decline of 0.5 per cent year-on-year and 3.3 per cent from December 2025. Of the total, $604.7m was bet online, while retail locations accounted for $11.1m. Winnings totalled $539.1m, with operators holding 12.5 per cent of the handle.
