Lady Luck could remove entrance fee
A bill that wants to expand gaming in the state would remove the entrance fee that people pay to access Lady Luck Casino.
US.- Lady Luck Casino is pushing for a legislation that would authorise the facility to remove the entrance fee. If it gets passed, Pennsylvania would allow the facility to avoid that measure if the operator pays US$1 million to the state.
Senator Pat Stefano, R-Bullskin Township, who voted for the HB 271 in May, said that the entrance fee has been a barrier for Lady Luck since its inception, as the Herald Standard reported. As the casino’s website said, the bill would allow small Category 3 casinos to avoid the rule that limits its customers from resorts amenities, as well as it is confusing for people who want to gamble in the casino.
Resort’s director of marketing and public relations, Ashli Mazer-Workman, said: “We are following the developments in Harrisburg and we continue to work closely with Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin’s operator, our casino partner, to provide a quality gaming experience.” The bill was sent to the Senate again and referred to the Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, as the news outlet confirmed. The casino is expecting that the overturn of the entrance fee will help achieve better results and compete with similar sized casinos.
