Kansas sports betting revenue falls in September

Revenue was down 55 per cent year-over-year.

US.- Sports betting revenue in Kansas totalled $8.2m in September, down 55 per cent year-over-year. Of the total, online betting contributed $7.6m and retail $607,693.

According to the Kansas Lottery, the sports betting handle was $283.7m, up 14 per cent year-on-year, with $277.6m bet online and $6.1m at retail locations.

DraftKings led the online market with a $118.3m handle and $1.9m in revenue. FanDuel reported a $89m handle and $4.2m in revenue, while BetMGM generated $815,976 from a handle of $24.2m.

ESPN Bet led the retail market with a $4.1m handle and $428,078 in revenue. FanDuel generated $144,227 from $1.2m, Caesars $16,273 from $318,794 and DraftKings $19,115 from $476,460. Taxes across online and retail betting totalled $821,562.

Kansas casino revenue totalled $33.1m in September, up 2.7 per cent from September 2024’s $32.2m and down 11.3 per cent from August 2025. Hollywood Casino & Resort generated $13.8m, up 9.6 per cent year‑on‑year, while Kansas Star Casino & Resort reported $12.4m, an increase 2.8 per cent. Together, these two properties accounted for nearly 80 per cent of total casino revenue in the state.
