Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin secures funding for new casino
The new venue is to open in Beloit in September 2026.
US.- The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin has closed $610m in senior secured credit facilities to finance construction of its new casino in Beloit. The deal includes a $305m revolving credit facility and a $305m delayed-draw term loan, supplemented by about $95m in tribal equity, according to a deal summary by KeyBanc Capital Markets.
The funds will finance the construction of a $705m casino resort in Beloit. The new venue will feature more than 1,500 slot machines, 40 table games, an hotel, restaurants, a 2,000-seat convention centre and parking facilities. Construction began in October 2024, with the casino set to open in September 2026 and the hotel and convention the following year.
The project won approval from the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs in 2020, and the plan was approved by Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers in 2021. The project will expand the Nation’s Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin brand, which currently operates six casinos in the state.
