Netherlands.- The Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has revealed that it appointed a new chairman as well as a new vice-chairman. Former Dutch Health Authority executive René Jansen will take the new chairman position on October 1, 2018.
The decision was made on Friday, August 24, after the proposal was approved by the Council of Ministers. Jensen was a member of the Executive Board of the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) from August 2015 to April 2018, while also chairman of the European Healthcare Fraud & Corruption Network, the European network for combating fraud and corruption in healthcare. He also held a number of management positions with the firmer Dutch Competition Authority.
Moreover, KSA also appointed Bernadette van Buchem as its new vice-chairman. The executive is currently Director of Consumers at the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).
“The Gaming Authority sees René Jansen and Bernadette van Buchem as the right people to continue the course taken by the KSA and to lead the organization through the planned modernization of the gaming policy,” said KSA through a press statement.
