DraftKings sportsbook app goes live in Pennsylvania
The sportsbook app from DraftKings has expanded its reach in the US as it has gone live in Pennsylvania.
US.- DraftKings Sportsbook has made its official debut in Pennsylvania, which became the seventh state that offers the app. The Pennsylvania launch follows recent expansion into West Virginia and Indiana.
DraftKings now offers advanced in-app features including in-game betting, odds boosts, props, futures, as well as FlashBet for major U.S. and international sports in the Keystone State.
Pennsylvania is one of the states with more demand in the US, not only because the interest in sport but also because they feature two of the NFL teams that have great chances to win the Super Bowl this year: Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The launch in Pennsylvania follows DraftKings’ expansion into West Virginia and Iowa. DraftKings launched sports betting operations in Iowa in August and DFS services during the last week of October.
DraftKings, sports betting operator of the nBA
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and DraftKings announced last week a multiyear partnership that will see DraftKings become an Authorized Sports Betting Operator of the league.
The partnership, which kicks off with the current season, allows DraftKings to have access to official NBA betting data and league marks across its mobile and its sportsbooks across the United States.
During the partnership, the NBA and DraftKings will work together on best-in-class practices to protect the integrity of NBA games. “Overall, the partnership positions DraftKings to further refine its NBA category, a sport that currently ranks among the most popular offerings for its customers. Live betting, a critical component of sports betting technology and the future of the industry, is more prevalent on DraftKings Sportsbook for the NBA than any other sport-over 70% of NBA bettors have live-wagered, while nearly 45% of NBA handle has come from in-play bets,” explained the league.
