The company will operate the Canadian casino for the next 20 years.
Canada.- The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has selected Caesars Entertainment in its latest tender for a service provider for Windsor Casino. The company will continue to be responsibile for gaming and non-gaming operations under a 20-year operating agreement from 2026.
Caesars and its predecessor companies have operated Caesars Windsor since the opening of its temporary facility in 1994. Unionised employees will continue to be governed by the terms of their collective agreement.
Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, said: “We are thrilled to be selected as the service provider for the Windsor Casino by the OLG. Caesars has a long history of managing Windsor and looks forward to continuing to deliver exceptional guest service and experiences at the property.”
OLG released Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for the Windsor Casino in October 2023. Last year, reports suggested Bally’s and Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment were also competing in the tender.
Windsor Casino has 85 table games, more than 1700 slot machines, and a poker room. Ontario’s first full-service sportsbook opened in 2023.
