Caesars’ Times Square casino bid receives local support

The New York State Latino Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Association has announced its support for the bid.

US.- The New York State Latino Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Association (NYSLRBLA) has announced its support for the new New York casino and entertainment destination proposed by SL Green, Caesars Entertainment and Roc Nation. The firms have proposed a casino and theatre at 1515 Broadway in Times Square.a casino.

The NYSLRBLA represents Hispanic and minority businesses in the food and beverage industry. It represents over 350 restaurant members.

Jeff Garcia, president of the NYSLRBLA, commented: “Times Square is the right place for New York’s next gaming destination, hands down. It’s great not only for the Times Square area but for the city as a whole. We believe the increased tourism is going to directly benefit small, minority-owned businesses across the five boroughs.”

SL Green, Caesars, and Roc Nation said in a statement: “The NYSLRBLA is among the most trusted and influential groups within New York City’s food and beverage industry. The NYSLRBLA’s support for a gaming destination in Times Square is a testament to the broad, city-wide impact of our proposal.” 

Caesars Entertainment and SL Green Realty propose a casino with a theatre that would stage The Lion King. They promise security and traffic improvements. Roc Nation, the entertainment agency founded by rapper Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) has come on board as entertainment partner for the proposal.

The firms have begun signing up hotels, restaurants, retailers and entertainment venues in the Times Square areas for Caesars Rewards.
