Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook opens at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
The 1,269-square-foot sportsbook has opened in time for the Super Bowl LVII.
US.- Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook, located at Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, has opened for players. The opening event saw UNLV Rebels and Cincinnati Bengals star, Elbert “Ickey” Woods place the ceremonial first bet on Philadelphia to win the Super Bowl. He did a signature “Ickey Shuffle” for good luck.
The 1,269-square-foot sportsbook features seating for up to 100 people and a dozen 80-inch televisions. There are four counter windows and two self-serve kiosks. Betting options include parlays, in-game wagering, teasers, futures, and props.
Betfred gained a licence to run the sportsbook in January. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is located at the former Hard Rock International property and opened in March 2021.
Earlier this month, Betfred launched online sports betting in Virginia and it has recently been approved to run sportsbook in Maryland with Frederick-based Long Shot. Betfred owns and operates over 1,400 betting shops in UK and entered the US sports betting market in 2019. It is currently licensed in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Louisiana, Arizona, Washington, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and Nevada.
