Skycity makes management changes

The New Zealand operator had made three internal promotions at SkyCity Auckland and Adelaide, effective from February 1.

New Zealand.- SkyCity Entertainment Group has made three internal appointments and at its Auckland and Adelaide casinos.

The new executives on the senior leadership team will become effective as of February 1.

Current executive general manager of hospitality at SkyCity Auckland, Callum Mallett, will be appointed chief operating officer (COO) for New Zealand.

He was previously general manager at SkyCity Darwin and SkyCity Auckland Hotels and has held other senior leadership roles within the company.

The current general manager of SkyCity Adelaide, David Christian, has been named as COO Australia. He will lead the Adelaide property, which recently unveiled a AU$330m (US$250m) expansion.

Christian has also had an extensive career at SkyCity at its Auckland, Hamilton and Darwin properties.

Finally, executive general manager for gaming, Matthew Ballesty, has been appointed chief casino officer. He will manage casino operations at SkyCity Auckland, the New Zealand operator’s largest venue, and provide strategic direction on all gaming products across the group.
