SJM appoints two former Sands execs

Benjamin Toh and Daniel Shim join SJM as chief operating officer and chief corporate affairs officer.  

Macau.- The chairman of SJM’s board, Daisy Ho, has sent an internal memo welcoming former Sands’ executives Benjamin Toh and Daniel Shim to its team as of today (Monday).

Toh has been appointed as chief operating officer, while Shim will join the operator as its chief corporate affairs officer.

Toh served as Dands China’s chief finance officer (CFO) and executive vice President between 2010 and 2016, before joining Shangri-la Asia as CFO.

Shim served as Las Vegas Sands’ senior vice president of human resources in Asia between 2007 and 2010, before taking up the same position at MTR Corporation in the same position.

SJM is restructuring following the death of Stanley Ho ahead of the opening of its new Cotai property in December.

It recently incorporated Frank McFadden as COO for gaming and hospitality, Bernard Yip as president for business development and Paul Hung as president for decurity, surveillance and ESG.
