PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco said the PTVs are designed to improve the ability of local health units to rapidly address medical emergencies, especially in regions with restricted access to hospitals and specialised medical services.

In March, the agency donated a PTV to the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA). The donation was part of a PHP300m (US$5.04m) pledge to the PNPA announced at the academy’s 45th Alumni Homecoming at Camp Gen. Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite a week ago.
