The new hotel at the City of Dreams complex in Macau won the award at the annual TTG China Travel Awards 2020.

Macau.- Melco’s new hotel Morpheus has been named “best new hotel in Macau” at the annual TTG China Travel Awards 2020.

Mr David Sisk, Melco’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “We are honoured for Morpheus to be recognised by TTG China Travel Awards’ industry readers as ‘Best New Hotel in Macau’. We thank our colleagues for their steadfast commitment and efforts in creating the most memorable and exciting experiences for each of our guests.”

Designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid, Morpheus was part of Phase 3 in the development of City of Dreams and is the world’s first free-form exoskeleton high-rise.

It was built with an investment of US$1.1 billion within Melco’s flagship integrated resort, which is now preparing to reopen after the Covid-19 lockdown.

Morpheus has also been recognised with a five-star award from Forbes Travel Guide and its spa was named Forbes’ spa of the Year for 2020.

It has also won the prestigious Prix Versailles award and was named Building of the Year 2019’by ArchDaily.
