Kangwon Land opens after two-month closure

The casino has opened again after the latest in a series of closures due to Covid-19 countermeasures.

South Korea.- Kangwon Land, the only casino in South Korea that is open to nationals, has reopened after closing due to Covid-19 countermeasures December 8.

The casino’s closure was extended until February 14 earlier in the month due to the level of alert in South Korea.

The government has now reduced the national alert level from 2 to 1.5, and from 2.5 to 2 in the greater Seoul metropolitan area.

The casino will operate with a capacity limit of 1,200 people.

Kangwon Land is the largest casino in the country and accounts for about half of all gambling revenue annually.
