Kangwon Land extends closure until Feb 14

The casino operator has extended until the temporary closure of its gaming facilities until 6am on February 14.

South Korea.- The only casino allowed to offer gaming to South Korean nationals has extended its current period of closure until February 14.

Kangwon Land has seen several periods of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, starting on February 23, 2020.

The latest shutdown of operations commenced on December 8.

The government issued a Level 2.5 alert across the Greater Seoul region and a Level 2 alert for the rest of the country. The level of alert for Gangwon province, where the casino resort is located, would need to be reduced to Level 1.5 before the casino can reopen.
