Jeju Dream Tower posts gaming revenue of US$12m for Q4

Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd has reported that the Jeju Dream Tower casino resort recorded gaming revenue of KRW14.4bn (US$12m) for the fourth quarter of 2021.

South Korea.- Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd has shared financial results for the three months to December 31. It revealed that Jeju Dream Tower casino resort gaming revenue was up 17.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter from KRW12.3bn (US$10.4m) to KRW14.4bn (US$12m). Net casino sales grew from KRW8.2bn to KRW9.8bn.

KRW9.7bn of the total gaming revenue came from the VIP segment while mass table play collected KRW4.7bn. VIP rolling chip volume for the fourth quarter was KRW4.3bn and mass table drop KRW8.0bn. 

VIP rolling chips in the fourth quarter were KRW253.5bn, up from KRW133.9bn in the previous quarter. Mass table drop was KRW27.4bn, down from KRW38bn in the third quarter.

The company reported full-year 2021 gaming revenue of KRW30.9bn and casino net sales of KRW21.1bn.

The Jeju Dream Tower casino opened its doors in June 2021 after passing a final inspection. The company launched a new phase of the Grand Hyatt hotel on January 10. The property now has 1,600 rooms.
