Grand Korea Leisure casino sales up 6.9% in June
GKL has posted casino sales of US$24m for the sixth month of the year.
South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) has shared its financial results for the month of June. Casino sales were KRW37.2bn (US$24m), up 6.9 per cent in year-on-year terms but down 13.8 per cent from May.
Table-game revenue was KRW33.3bn (US$21.6m), up 5.3 per cent from June 2025 but down from the previous month. Machine game sales were KRW3.92bn (US$2.55m), up 22 per cent year-on-year. The casino drop was up 8.9 per cent year-on-year at KRW327.7bn (US$213m).
For the first half of the year, Grand Korea Leisure reported casino sales of KRW227.2bn (US$148m), up 8.2 per cent compared to the January-June period of 2025. GKL’s first-half table game visitation rose 17 per cent to 97,437.
GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos under the Seven Luck brand: two in the capital, Seoul (including one in Gangnam) and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. It operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Recently, the company announced a plan to generate casino revenue of KRW503.8bn (US$333.8m) by 2030.
