Arizona sports betting handle rises in September
The handle increased 16.3 per cent year-over-year.
US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has released sports betting figures for September. The handle totalled $851m, a 16.3 per cent increase from the same month in 2024.
Of the total, $847m was bet online and $4.4m at retail venues. DraftKings/Crown Gaming led the online market with $268.2m in wagers, followed by FanDuel with $254.5m and BetMGM with $97.8m. The retail market was led by DraftKings/Crown Gaming with $3m, followed by Caesars (American Wagering) with $810,080. Winnings paid to players totalled $794.3m. The state collected $1.9m in privilege fees.
Some $46.2m in tribal gaming contributions went to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026. That’s an approximate 5 per cent increase year-over-year.
ADG recently named Shannon Nelson as the new racing division director. Nelson will also continue to serve as deputy director of regulation.
