Arizona sports betting handle rises in October

The handle increased 22.2 per cent year-over-year.

US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has released October sports betting figures. The handle was $967m, up 22.2 per cent year-over-year and 13.6 per cent from September 2025.

Of the total handle, $961.3m was bet online and $5.8m at retail venues. FanDuel led the online market with $317.1m in wagers, followed by DraftKings/Crown Gaming with $293.7m and BetMGM with $102m. The retail market was led by DraftKings/Crown Gaming with $4.1m, followed by  BetMGM with $898m. The state collected approximately $5.2m in privilege fees.

According to the report, fiscal year-to-date regulated event wagering and fantasy sports privilege fees in Arizona totalled $20.7m, including $20.2m in event wagering and $462,576 in fantasy sports.

The ADG and its Division of Problem Gambling (DPG) recently announced the launch of the state’s first youth-focused public awareness initiative to prevent underage gambling. “Too Young to Bet AZ” is part of a national effort led by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) to raise awareness about the risks of youth gambling.

The initiative’s goal is to educate adults, including caregivers, coaches, and educators, with information to help prevent early exposure to gambling. The initiative will include resources highlighting underage gambling risks, guidance for families and educators, downloadable materials, and community engagement opportunities.
