American Gaming Association announces new hires and internal promotions

The appointments include four promotions and three new hires at a senior executive level.

US.- The American Gaming Association (AGA) has announced thee new hires and four promotions in its senior executive team across a range of business functions.

Alex Costello has been promoted to vice president of government relations and will direct AGA’s federal advocacy efforts. Meanwhile, David Forman has been promoted to vice president of research. He will lead AGA’s proprietary research program and will be the contact for industry officials, members, media and investors.

Gabrielle Voorhees has been promoted to vice president of finance and operations. She will supervise the AGA’s financial operations and human resources. Brandon Leggiero has been promoted to senior director of member and partner relations. He will be responsible for member and partner relations and development. He will lead the strategy to retain, grow and diversify membership to reflect the breadth of the industry.

The AGA has hired Tres York, Christopher Browne and Annabelle Goese, who will take up positions in government relations, media relations and member services, respectively. 

Bill Miller, AGA’s president and CEO, said: “I’m immensely proud of the team we have built at the AGA. Today’s announcement reflects their hard work and significant achievements on behalf of our members and the gaming industry.

AGA: 2021 gaming revenue beats 2019

In December, the American Gaming Association (AGA) published the latest edition of its Commercial Gaming Revenue Tracker. The monthly report showed that October was the US commercial gaming industry’s second-strongest month ever, with $4.75bn in traditional casino gaming, sports betting and igaming revenue.

The report showed 2021 beat 2019 as the highest-grossing year of all time for commercial gaming revenue. With only three states reporting November revenue at that moment, the total 2021 commercial gaming revenue reached $43.68bn, breaking 2019’s record of $43.65bn.
