AGA hosts inaugural responsible gaming leadership roundtable in Boston

The Responsible Gaming Leadership Roundtable is part of the AGA’s ongoing commitment to elevating responsible gaming nationwide and building a stronger, more sustainable industry for the future.

Press release.- The American Gaming Association (AGA) hosted its first Responsible Gaming Leadership Roundtable in Boston, bringing together top regulators, operators, and responsible gaming experts to advance the next generation of responsible gaming initiatives. The Roundtable also spotlighted the AGA’s newest responsible gaming platform, Play Smart from the Start, encouraging players to stay in control, play with purpose, and keep entertainment at the heart of their gaming experience.

Joe Maloney, senior vice president of strategic communications at the AGA, commented: “The continued growth and public acceptance of our industry depends on strong collaboration between operators and regulators in operating responsibly and in communicating effectively with our customers about responsible play. Our work through Play Smart from the Start and beyond will continue to raise the bar for responsibility in gaming, ensuring that when players play with purpose, everyone wins.”

Opening remarks were delivered by AGA leadership, setting the stage for a robust discussion on how legal gaming stakeholders can collaborate to drive progress on responsible gaming practices nationwide.

  • Marlene Warner, executive director, Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health.
  • Joe Maloney, senior vice president of Strategic Communications, American Gaming Association.
  • Tres York, vice president of Government Relations, American Gaming Association.
