The Oklahoma resort’s renovations will include a new hotel tower, amenities, and upgrades.

US.- Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola has announced plans for a $140m expansion and renovation project with a new hotel tower, amenities and upgrades across the property in Oklahoma. A groundbreaking will be held in autumn.

The resort started as a bingo hall in 1994 and has grown to include a hotel, a large gaming floor, restaurants and bars, and over 7,000 square feet of meeting space. The renovation will include a seven-story tower with 130 additional guest rooms, a pool, private cabanas, an outdoor bar, a spa, a fitness centre, and a coffee and tea bar. The existing 118 rooms, the casino and restaurants will be renovated. The poker room, Off Track Betting, and Rewards Club will move to new locations.

Chief Gary Batton, chief of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, said: “Choctaw has long been a proud part of this region, growing alongside the community and contributing to its vitality and success. As the largest employer in LeFlore County and the second largest resort in the Choctaw Casinos & Resort portfolio, Choctaw – Pocola plays a vital role in driving economic growth and opportunity in this region. This investment will allow us to welcome more guests while delivering an even higher level of hospitality and resort experience.”

Christy Chaser, general manager of Choctaw Casino & Resort-Pocola, added:  “We’re excited to share our latest expansion and renovation project with our guests and the community. This investment not only transforms our property by doubling our hotel capacity and introducing contemporary, elevated amenities, but also reflects our ongoing commitment to the people and businesses here. By enhancing the guest experience, we’re positioned to attract more visitors from across the region and beyond, helping to drive tourism, support local economic growth, and create new opportunities for our community to thrive,” Chaser said.

In April, Harrah’s Oklahoma opened as the first Caesars casino in the state. Developed with the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, it’s located on Route 66 and features 12 table games, more than 1,000 slot machines, a high-limit gaming area and bars and restaurants, such as Arrow & Ember and Dash Café.
