Sibaya Casino celebrates 21 years in South Africa’s gambling industry with major community give-back
The premier casino marks two decades of gaming success by distributing more than 2,100 food hampers and launching a “Celebrating 21” promotional campaign for loyal members.
South Africa.- Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom has marked 21 years at the forefront of South Africa’s gambling and entertainment industry, and to commemorate this milestone, launched a major charity drive to give back to communities in need.
The casino recently distributed 2 ,100 food hampers worth R850,000 (€41, 650) to families in Phoenix, Blackburn, Verulam and Waterloo – all communities facing food insecurity and economic strain, often encountering challenges typical of lower-income areas.
Virath Gobrie, Sibaya’s General Manager, said: “This day is not about us, it’s about giving back to our communities.”
Staff members and volunteers teamed up to pack the hampers, transforming the event into a hands-on initiative aimed at supporting local families. The Sibaya management team said: “These communities are close to our hearts.”

Alongside the community give-back, Sibaya ran the “Celebrating 21” promotional campaign. Sun MVG members earned draw tickets by participating in slots and table games, with prizes including cash, cars and a Birthday Cash Draw.
Sibaya stands out as a premier destination in South Africa’s gambling and entertainment scene. The casino offers a wide range of gaming options, including blackjack, roulette, poker and a vast selection of slot machines. Beyond gaming, Sibaya features fine dining, live entertainment and regular events, making it a complete entertainment hub that attracts both local and international visitors.
For 21 years, Sibaya Casino has been a staple of South Africa’s gambling scene, but it’s not just about the games. The casino is proving that success in business can go hand-in-hand with supporting the communities that need it most.
