Guinea’s National Lottery funds Master’s education through scholarship programme
LONAGUI says its scholarship programme has funded postgraduate studies for 42 Guinean students from 2023 to the present.
Guinea.- The National Lottery of Guinea (LONAGUI) has announced its scholarship initiative has enabled 42 Guinean students to pursue Master’s degrees from 2023 to the present, highlighting the lottery’s contribution to higher learning in the country.
The operator outlined the impact of its LONAGUI Scholarship, which provides financial support for students undertaking Master 1 and Master 2 degrees. LONAGUI said: “Since 2023, the LONAGUI SCHOLARSHIP has enabled 42 Guinean students to continue their Master 1 and Master 2 studies thanks to full funding provided by LONAGUI.”
The programme provides full funding for postgraduate study, allowing recipients to complete their degrees with financial backing from the national lottery. The initiative also includes a maintenance scholarship paid to each student throughout their academic programme, helping recipients cover living expenses while completing their studies.
LONAGUI operates as Guinea’s national lottery and is responsible for organising lottery games in the country. Like many state lottery operators, the organisation also supports social initiatives through its corporate social responsibility programmes. The LONAGUI Scholarship reflects this role by directing resources towards higher education and helping students develop advanced academic skills.
The scholarship initiative forms part of LONAGUI’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, with a focus on youth development.
