The Zambian branch will be led by Chisenga Mwape, who has been appointed to oversee the organisation’s activities in the country.

Zambia.- Nigeria-based responsible gambling organisation GamblePause has completed its registration in Zambia, paving the way for the launch of its operations in the country as part of its broader expansion across Africa.

The announcement was made by founder Ladipo Abiose on July 13,  who said the registration marks another milestone in the organisation’s Pan-African growth strategy.

According to Abiose, GamblePause will begin operations in Zambia in collaboration with GamAid Zambia. The partnership will focus on strengthening responsible gambling measures, enhancing player protection, and preventing gambling-related harm.

The Zambian branch will be led by Chisenga Mwape, who has been appointed to oversee the organisation’s activities in the country. Mwape will also be responsible for building strategic partnerships and promoting safer gambling practices across Zambia.

Abiose said the expansion shows GamblePause’s commitment to creating safer gambling environments across Africa through collaboration with local stakeholders.

Founded in Nigeria, GamblePause is a responsible gambling organisation that works to prevent gambling-related harm and provide support to people affected by problem gambling. The organisation offers free, confidential, and round-the-clock support services to individuals seeking help with gambling-related issues.

With Zambia in the bag, the organisation is expected to continue its expansion into more African markets as it works to promote player protection and gambling harm prevention across the region.
