betPawa introduces Locker Room Bonus to Cameroonian basketball
President of FECABASKET believes the partnership ushers in a fresh chapter for the basketball sport in Cameroon.
Cameroon.- betPawa has partnered with FECABASKET to launch its Locker Room Bonus (LRB) in Cameroon, the first Francophone market for the initiative since its inception.
The LRB rewards players and technical staff for every victory, with payments made directly into their mobile money accounts. In the Cameroonian basketball league, 14 players and four staff of each team will receive CFA 15,000 (€22.87) per win. A sum of CFA 3,000,000 (€4,573) has also been set aside for awards to outstanding players and teams at the end of the season.
The launch was marked with an exhibition match between Team FECABASKET and Team betPawa, with the former emerging victorious with a narrow score of 32-28.
According to betPawa, the goal of the initiative is to channel the benefits of sports partnerships directly to the communities that support the game. The scheme also showcases the operator’s commitment to athlete empowerment and sustainable support.

With Cameroon in the bag, betPawa’s LRB is now available in over six countries, including Tanzania, Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Malawi and Kenya.
