Betika Sunset Corsa set to ignite East Africa’s drag racing scene
Kenya hosts top drivers and high-performance vehicles from across East Africa, as the two-day drag racing event draws motorsport fans and betting enthusiasts.
Kenya.- Betika will lead the 2026 edition of the Sunset Corsa – East Africa Drag Championship, drawing motorsport enthusiasts. The event will feature high-performance cars and motorcycles from Kenya and neighbouring countries competing in head-to-head drag races, promising fast-paced action and intense competition.
The championship is scheduled to take place on March 21 and 22 at the popular ICD Road. The event is presented by Daimler Motorsports Kenya and sponsored by leading betting brand Betika, highlighting the company’s support for motorsport development and high-performance racing in East Africa.
Organisers said: “Sunset Corsa 2026 brings together the fastest cars from Kenya and across East Africa for an all‑out drag showdown. Expect intense callouts and grudge races.”
Drivers wishing to compete must complete an online registration process, with only approved entrants permitted on the racing strip. Organisers emphasise that registration rules are in place to ensure both safety and a competitive field.
The Betika Sunset Corsa has become a central fixture in East African motorsport, showcasing high-speed racing while attracting enthusiasts across the region.
