African card payment method Verve expands, giving card holders access to global platforms

Lagos, Nigeria: Verve, one of Africa’s largest card payment methods, is expanding beyond borders and reshaping the face of fintech on the continent. With over 75 million cards in circulation, the homegrown payment powerhouse is no longer content with just leading in Africa, it’s setting its sights on the global stage.
Backed by a string of high-profile partnerships, Verve is now integrated with some of the world’s biggest names in e-commerce and digital transactions, including PalmPay and FortisPay. This global push is designed to give cardholders seamless access to international platforms and a faster, frictionless experience.
Rollout of contactless payments
Though it has not yet been confirmed, it could also extend to the igaming industry. The brand is leapfrogging into the future with an aggressive rollout of contactless payment technology. Verve cards are now accepted on key fintech and payment service provider platforms such as Opay, PalmPay, Global Accelerex, Interswitch and Paystack.
