KK Giam: “BC.GAME has come a long way in developing some very innovative products”
Shows & conferences - 9 July, 2026
During iGB L!VE London 2026, Focus Gaming News sat down with KK Giam, CEO at BC.GAME, to delve into the company's strategies, unique market position, and future aspirations.
Giam opened by highlighting BC.GAME's significant commitment to the football betting market, signified by their exhibition stand's football pitch design. He explained, "This reflects our commitment to make inroads to become experts in the football betting," adding that the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup will serve as a key launchpad for "our efforts into football wagering."
The discussion then moved to the distinction between prediction markets and traditional sports betting, a topic Giam believes warrants consideration. He said: "Prediction markets are more about the outcome and what influences the outcome in between. So you can trade that variation, whereas for sports betting, it is more emotions, more getting involved, engaged, a lot of passions involved. So, it is a lot more entertaining than betting on an outcome." While acknowledging both are offered on BC.GAME's platform, he stressed, "personally I don't think they are going to be the same thing competing for the same customers." Ultimately, for Giam, "the entertainment value is a lot more in sports books than prediction markets."
When asked about what one thing people still misunderstand about crypto gaming, Giam said: "When people think about crypto gaming, I think that they think of payment as unique because it's crypto, it's easy, it's transparent, it's fast. But I think in specifically to BC.GAME crypto gaming has a certain different meaning." He said that, unlike traditional igaming platforms that merely integrate cryptocurrencies, BC.GAME "started with crypto" and exploits this for enhanced player value. He elaborated that players are "rewarded for being a player in the system," with these crypto rewards being convertible into further benefits. This creates an extended "entertainment loop" where players become "participants," a system underpinned by their innovative "BC Engine."
Addressing what has been his biggest priority since joining BC.GAME, Giam said that he is new to this industry, and stressed BC.GAME has been very successful before his arrival, and added that it already has over 10 million registered users. He then emphasised his priority: 'Where I can add value is behind that. While we are growing, we've sort of neglected the sustenance part. How do we make this business sustainable? How do we make the 10 million people, of which hundreds of thousands of them are actively engaging us every day? How do we make that grow? How do we retain these people? This, he said, is "the most critical success criteria, success determinant of BC.GAME going forward."
To achieve these goals, Giam stressed the crucial role of partnerships – "not transactions." He is actively seeking collaborators in areas such as payment solutions, game content, and, crucially, those who can help "improve our games" and enhance "player experience." He warned that any "frictions for our players" would lead to their loss, underscoring the necessity to provide entertainment value, because "if they don't feel entertainment, they won't be here."
Looking ahead, BC.GAME plans to further leverage its crypto-native innovations, such as the rapidly gaining traction "BC Engine," and significantly invest in improving player entertainment values through better game content and robust global customer service. Giam revealed plans to build "offices around the world that can basically cover all the time zones so that we have real people who are in waking hours can attend to our players genuinely passionately around the globe." He then said his vision for BC.GAME, a global brand built on hard work, is a symbiotic relationship where "We gain, they gain, they gain, we gain," ensuring continuous rewards and engagement for its growing player base.
