World Series of Poker online to return in partnership with GGPoker
WSOP Online 2022, the third edition of the online tournament series, will feature gold bracelet tournaments on the WSOP and GGPoker sites.
US.- The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has confirmed the return of its online poker festival, in partnership with GGPoker. WSOP Online 2022 will be the third edition of the online tournament series. It follows on the heels of the 53rd annual WSOP on the Las Vegas Strip, where $347.9m in prize money was awarded to 197,626 entrants.
WSOP Online 2022 will feature gold bracelet tournaments on the WSOP and GGPoker sites, with bracelet winners securing a spot in the 2023 WSOP Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas. Each winner from WSOP Online, both international and national, will earn a seat at the tournament next year.
Some of the WSOP online tournament events include $365 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Deepstack on September 29, $777 Lucky 7’s on October 2, $1,000 WSOP Online 2022 Championship on October 16 and $10,000 Super High Roller on October 18.
GGPoker will host the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, otherwise known as the WSOP Online Main Event, for the third year running. The event offers a $20m guaranteed prize pool (GTD). The firm will also offer 33 bracelet events, with buy-ins ranging from $100 to $10,000.
WSOP SVP and ED Ty Stewart said: “No one wanted to see this year’s WSOP come to an end. However, in many ways, the return of WSOP Online is even more exciting. Together with GGPoker, we have a clear vision to make this festival annually the biggest deal in online poker so that the WSOP offers players the marquee event in both live and online poker each year.”
GGPoker global ambassador Daniel Negreanu added: “Online bracelets are just as prestigious as live tournament bracelets. I’m glad we’re creating a new tradition to celebrate the online game, and I’m striving to add my first WSOP Online bracelet to my collection.”
In June, GGPoker announced pro poker player Jeff Gross and television personality Ali Nejad as its newest brand ambassadors. They represent the firm online and in person and assist the GGTeam by creating new content.
