West Virginia sports betting handle reaches record $83.1m in November
The figures registered an increase of 34.7 per cent from October.
US.- West Virginia has set a new state record sports betting handle of $83.1m for November. That’s an increase of 34.7 per cent from October ($61.7m) and 71.2 per cent from November 2020 ($48.m). The state´s previous record was $77m registered in September 2020.
Mobile sports betting set a record handle of $68.2m, up 42.7 per cent from October’s $47.8m and up 140 per cent year-on-year. Sports betting revenue reached $6.3m. That’s an increase of 135.6 per cent from October, when it reached $2.7m and 42.6 per cent from November 2020, when it marked $4.m.
The state’s share of taxes was $534,214, up 135.6 per cent from October and 42.6 per cent from November 2020. The igaming handle in November was $198.2m, up 0.2 per cent from October’s $197.8m. The state recorded $5.9m in revenue, a decrease of 7.9 per cent from October’s $6.4m.
Wazdan enters West Virginia with supplier licence
The slot supplier Wazdan was approved last month to enter its second US market last month after securing an interim supplier licence in the state.
The certification will allow the casino game supplier to bring its catalogue of titles to players in the state. Its games include Sizzling 777 Deluxe, Lucky Reels, Space Spins, Power of Gods: The Pantheon, Magic Stars 3, Magic Fruits Deluxe, Relic Hunters and the Book of Faith.
