WarHorse Gaming secures $300m refinancing for casino expansions in Nebraska
The company plans to start the construction of a new casino in South Sioux City.
US.- WarHorse Gaming has secured refinancing of $300m in startup loans to start the next phase of casino expansions and construction of a new casino. The company said the deal was organised by banks including Capital One, KeyBank, The Huntington National Bank, BOK Financial and Comerica Bank.
The refinancing paves the way for the company’s expansion of casinos at horse racetracks in Omaha and Lincoln and the construction of a third WarHorse Casino in South Sioux City. Work will begin next summer.
WarHorse Lincoln will get larger gaming areas for machines, more table games, a new steakhouse and a sports bar. WarHorse Omaha opened an expansion in April, with more gaming, new dining options, a smoking room and improved access to the casino from the parking garage.
Lance Morgan, CEO of Ho-Chunk, the parent company of WarHorse Gaming, said: “This rapid refinancing shows our bank partners value what we’re doing, and see the great potential ahead. We are proud to have them join us for this next big chapter. WarHorse Gaming is Nebraska grown and owned. We believe in providing a world-class gaming experience, while investing in our communities, our state, and the Winnebago people.”
