WarHorse casino Omaha opens second-phase expansion in Nebraska
The expansion adds more than 400 new gaming positions, bringing the total gaming space to nearly 50,000 square feet.
US.- Less than a year after opening in Nebraska, WarHorse Omaha has inaugurated its second-phase expansion. The property now features more gaming, new dining options, a smoking room and improved access to the casino from the parking garage.
The expansion adds more than 400 new gaming positions, bringing the total gaming space to nearly 50,000 square feet. There are two new food and beverage outlets, Nebraska Ale Haus and Trifecta Food Hall and a new skywalk, an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway that connects the casino to the parking garage.
Before the inauguration, Lance Morgan, CEO of WarHorse Gaming, said: “We’re excited to open this next chapter of WarHorse Omaha. This expansion delivers the amenities our players have been asking for — more games, more comfort, and great new dining — all in one convenient location.”
The first phase of the venue opened in August 2024. State and local dignitaries and officials from WarHorse Gaming and Ho-Chunk, the commercial economic development arms of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony. WarHorse Omaha is located at 6303 Q Street and operates 24 hours a day. The $500m casino opened last year with 925 gaming positions, table games, and a Sweetwater Cafe.
WarHorse Omaha is the second permanent casino to open in Nebraska after Harrah’s Columbus Racing & Casino, which opened in May 2024.
