Virginia sports betting handle increases in October

The handle increased 19.5 per cent year-over-year.

US.- The Virginia Lottery has released its report on sports wagering activity for October. The sports betting handle totalled $831.6m, up 19.5 per cent year-over-year and 12.6 per cent from September. Of the total handle, mobile wagers totalled $824m and retail bets $7.6m.

According to the report, adjusted gross revenue (AGR) was $75.3m. Mobile operators registered $74.5m, and retails $739,551.

Winnings totalled $751m, with a combined 9.69 per cent operator win percentage. Of the fourteen mobile operators and three casinos, ten reported net positive AGR, leading to $11.3m in tax payments.

Virginia casino revenue at Hard Rock Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia totalled $82.1m in October, up 44 per cent year-over-year and 12.3 per cent from September 2025. Slots generated $60.6m and table games $21.5m.
