Virginia casino revenue increases in October
Revenue was up 44 per cent year-over-year and 12.3 per cent from September 2025.
US.- The Virginia Lottery has released its report on casino gaming activity for October. Revenue at Hard Rock Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia totalled $82.1m, up 44 per cent year-over-year and 12.3 per cent from September 2025. Slots generated $60.6m and table games $21.5m.
Caesars Virginia generated $36.6m in adjusted gross gaming revenue (AGR), $23.3m from slot machines and $10.3m from table games. Rivers Casino Portsmouth reported $27.3m, with $19.5m from slots and $7.8m from table games, and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol $21.2m ($17.7m from slot machines and $3.4m from table games). Virginia collected $18.4m in taxes paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund.
Boyd Gaming and the Pamunkey Tribe have opened an interim gaming hall in Norfolk, ahead of a $750m permanent casino expected to open in 2027. Located off Park Avenue, it’s the first gaming venue in Norfolk and the fourth casino in Virginia following those in Bristol, Portsmouth and Danville.
The interim casino has 130 slot machines and food and beverage services. All profits from the first day of operation were donated to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and Eastern Shore.
