Vermont sports betting handle increases in October

The handle increased 53.7 per cent year-over-year.

US.- Vermont Liquor and Lottery has reported that the state’s sports betting handle totalled $26.6m in October. That’s a rise of 53.7 per cent year-over-year and 33 per cent from September 2025. Adjusted gross wagering revenue was $2m, and winnings totalled $24.4m.

Of the total handle, $19.2m was bet in Vermont and $7.4m out of the state. There were 11,983 active users in the state and 9261 out of state. The number of bets reached 913,600, with 706,212 in Vermont and 207,088 out of state. The average spend per bet was $29.13.

Football led the market with $8.2m in bets, followed by baseball with $3.2m, baseball with $1.8m and basketball with $1.7m.

Vermont’s online sports betting market launched in January 2024.
