US.- Tennessee sports betting gross handle was $536.2m in December. That’s a decrease of 6.3 per cent year-over-year and 16.7 per cent from November 2025.
According to the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council (SWC), after $4.3m worth of adjustments, gross wagers amounted to $540.4m. Privilege tax totalled $9.9m. The council did not provide a breakdown by operator or sport, nor did it disclose specific operator revenues.
In other news, Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti sent formal cease-and-desist letters to almost forty online sweepstakes casinos operating in the state. His office said the action was part of an “ongoing effort to protect Tennessee consumers from predatory and unregulated gambling operations.”
The attorney general’s office said that the promotional sweepstakes model constitutes an illegal lottery prohibited by the Tennessee Constitution and violates Tennessee gambling and consumer-protection laws. All platforms that received a letter have reportedly disabled the unlawful features of their platforms or agreed to end operations in the coming weeks.
