North Carolina sports betting handle increases year-over-year in December
The handle rose 5.9 per cent year-over-year.
US.- The North Carolina State Lottery Commission has released its sports betting revenue report for December. The state’s eight licensed interactive sports wagering operators took a handle of $665.9m, up 5.9 per cent year-over-year but down 18.2 per cent from the record set in November 2025.
According to the Commission’s report, winnings totalled $581.4m and gross wagering revenue $81.5m. Under the 18 per cent tax rate, the estimated tax proceeds are $14.7m. For the fiscal year to date, gross wagering revenue stands at $3.8bn and taxes $71.3m.
Underdog Sports Wagering ceased operations in the state on December 16.
