Swedish gaming regulator bans Disrupt Entertainment

Spelinspektionen has issued an injunction against another Curaçao-licensed gaming operator.

Sweden- The national gaming regulator Spelinspektionen has issued an injunction banning Disrupt Entertainment Limited from offering online gambling services in Sweden.

Entering with immediate effect, it’s the third prohibition order against a Curaçao-licensed gaming operator in the past month. It has previously issued injunctions against Nero Media and Indigo Soft.

Disrupt Entertainment runs the Casinosinners brand. Spelinspektionen said the operator had targeted Swedish players without a local licence since its website had information, including conditions of play, in Swedish, and took no measures to block players in the country from registering.

It said the operator had not responded to its invitation to comment.

Section two of Sweden’s 2018 Gambling Act states that gaming that is promoted to the Swedish market is considered to be offered in Sweden. Chapter 18 section 23 of the Act allows the regulator to issue injunctions to ensure compliance.
