Montana shares information on sports betting
The Montana Lottery Commission has updated the situation of Sports Bet Montana, the state’s sports betting service.
US.- The Montana Lottery Commission met last week to discuss Sports Bet Montana and come up with important decisions, including which sports will be offered and what kind of bets can be made on the platform.
Lottery officials in the state estimate that the system will be up and running on betting kiosks during the week of March 9. The approved professional and collegiate sports are basketball, baseball, soccer, football, hockey, tennis, boxing, MMA, golf and motorsports.
People in Montana will be able to place over/under bets, moneyline, in-game, parlay, spread, prop bets and future bets.
“We are in the home stretch of our planning and testing,” said Jennifer McKee, Montana Lottery communications manager. “We are really looking forward to getting sports betting in the market and we’re as excited as Montanans are for it to begin.”
The lottery started taking applications from interested parties in the state during the first week of December 2019. The rules had been approved on November 21.
The next step to be able to launch in Montana is to install communications equipment in retail locations, while the betting terminals are likely to be installed the same week as the launch, and sales agents trained right after that.
