US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) confirmed that two more casinos in the state want to offer sports betting services. The regulator said that Mount Airy Casino Resort and Mohegan Sun Pocono have applied for licenses.
Half of the casinos in the state have already opened sportsbooks at their locations, while two off-track betting parlors also offer the gambling modality. The facilities include SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino in Chester, Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course near Hershey and suburban Philadelphia’s Parx Casino and Valley Forge Casino.
Presque Isle Downs also has a sports betting licence but is yet to open its services. Each facility that wants to hold a licence to offer sports betting services must pay a US$10 million fee.
