Sports betting in Wyoming: handle reaches $24.5m in October

The handle increased by 15.1 per cent year-over-year.

US.- Wyoming’s sports betting handle was $24.5m in October, up 15.1 per cent from October 2023 and 6.9 per cent from September 2024. However, online sportsbooks took $1.9m in revenue, down 15.2 per cent from October 2023 and 34.7 per cent from September 2024. The state’s five online sportsbooks collectively paid more than $95,000 in taxes.

DraftKings held 54 per cent of the market with a $13.3m handle, up 6 Per cent year-over-year. It posted more than $1m in revenue and was followed by FanDuel, BetMGM, Fanatics and Caesars. Fanatics Betting and Gaming launched the Fanatics Sportsbook in Wyoming in May. The historic horse race (HHR) betting handle was $184.4m, a 23.5 per cent year-over-year increase.

The Wyoming Gaming Commission, in conjunction with the Wyoming State Legislature, has entered into a contract with Spectrum Gaming Group to conduct a feasibility study about the future of gaming in the state.
